Left fielder Eric Young had 2 base hits as the Vero Beach SeaWolves defeated
the Santurce Cangrejeros by the score of 2 to 1 at Rogers Centre.
 
Vero Beach promptly took the lead in their half of the first plating an
isolated run utilizing 2 base hits.  After an out was recorded, Pablo Ozuna
stroked a single.  Young stepped up to the plate and he doubled scoring the
run.  Santurce threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.  
 
Luke Hudson(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 1
run. Todd Jones gained credit for his 21st save.  Scott Kazmir(2-11) was the
loser.  
 
Vero Beach continued their winnings ways improving their record to 47-42.
They are 8-2 in their last ten games.  Not able to get much going in recent
weeks, Santurce is 1-9 of late and now has an overall record of 36-45, worst
in the division.
